A Documentary Film About Our Carbon Impact

People pull things off the shelf in a mad rush of consumption all around the world.

But everything we consume has a cost to the planet.

FOOD

PHONES

LAPTOPS

THE LATEST FASHIONS

FUEL

HOLIDAYS

HEAT FOR OUR HOMES

MY CAMERA

The levels of carbon dioxide that humans are creating means we are coming face to face with the biggest ever challenge to humankind.

What can we do?

I will start will my camera. How much C02 was produced in the manufacture of my camera?   How were the raw materials extracted from the earth and how much CO2 was released in the process? Where on the planet were individual components manufactured for my camera and how much CO2 was produced moving my camera from the other side of the world to the store in my city? Beyond buying my camera, how much CO2 will be created as I use and maintain my camera throughout its lifetime?

If I, as a consumer can understand this, then I can start to take responsibility for my own carbon impact on the world we share.

Follow my journey.
